Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2025-06-11T11:25Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2025-06-11T11:25:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: Characterized by an amplification of magnetic field components with Btotal increasing from 5nT at 2025-06-11T11:25Z to 11nT at 16:08Z. A subsequent increase in solar wind speed is observed from ~400 km/s at 2025-06-11T11:25Z to ~490 km/s at 17:30Z. Increases in temperature and density are also observed alongside the increases in Btotal and speed, with temperature increasing to about 200k and density reaching about 8 p/cc. This signature is still developing and analysis is ongoing, but this event may be associated with the arrival of CME: 2025-06-08T02:48Z, with possible additional influence from a coronal hole high speed stream due to the negative polarity coronal hole seen crossing central meridian on 2025-06-08.
